Aim:
To promote a better understanding of the low carbon economy and the opportunities this could present for Derby/Derbyshire in the form of a realistic portfolio of economic related opportunities for the area.
Target audience:
Representatives of the Derby/Derbyshire Renaissance Board, City/County Council economic development/regeneration officers, public/private and voluntary sector partners.

13:30 Welcome and introduction
13:40 Setting the scene (TBAT Innovation Ltd)
Explanation of Low Carbon Economy and its relevance to Derby/Derbyshire including reference to local projects and programmes that are already contributing to this agenda (eg. through emda research).
14:10 Opportunities - Group discussion.
Identifying the gaps and potential opportunities; identify areas of untapped potential/project proposals that could lend themselves to further work.
14:50 What we could do?
Two short case study presentations on opportunities that are within grasp including a multi-agency city wide project and a grass roots community proposal.
