To introduce Climate East Midlands and the Skills Programme and facilitate discussion about how to maximise their value to Derby and Derbyshire.

Target audience:
Derby Climate Change Partnership, Derbyshire Partnership Forum (Climate Change Sub-Group), officers and members from the City, County and District Councils and partners from the public, private and voluntary sector.

  • Participative exercise to share and record the progress, strengths and successes of Derby-Derbyshire on “the Great Wall of Climate” (a visual, interactive resource that will build up over the course of the week and assist in the process of knowledge transfer from one area to another) - Mike Peverill, Climate East Midlands
  • NHS Carbon Reduction and the Public Health opportunity (discussion about the opportunities for a. the transferred responsibility for public health and b. the progress of local NHS Trusts in reducing carbon) - Helen Ross, Department of Health East Midlands
