To introduce Climate East Midlands and the Skills Programme and facilitate discussion about how to maximise their value to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Target audience:
Green Nottingham Partnership, Health and Environment Partnership, Nottinghamshire Climate Change Partnership, officers and members from the City, County and District Councils and partners from the public, private and voluntary sector.

  • Climate Change Skills Programme (what is it , who it’s aimed at, how to get involved and how to maximise its value for Derby and Derbyshire) - Anne Gayfer, East Midlands Improvement and Efficiency Partnership
  • Participative exercise to share and record the progress, strengths and successes of Derby-Derbyshire on “the Great Wall of Climate” (a visual, interactive resource that will build up over the course of the week and assist in the process of knowledge transfer from one area to another) - Mike Peverill, Climate East Midlands
  • NHS Carbon Reduction and the Public Health opportunity (discussion about the opportunities for a. the transferred responsibility for public health and b. the progress of local NHS Trusts in reducing carbon) - Helen Ross, Department of Health East Midlands
