Aims:
In a health policy landscape that is rapidly changing, this workshop is intended to increase understanding of how climate change is likely to affect health and healthcare service delivery. It will be a chance to explore what we can do to reduce the risks, save money and take advantages of the opportunities.

Target audience:
NHS Trusts (East Midlands NHS Sustainable Development Network members, Facilities/Estates/Finance Managers, Emergency Planners, GPs, Public Health staff); Local Authorities (members and officers responsible for Public Health and Adult Social Care); Voluntary sector organisations involved in healthcare service delivery.

3. Dr Nebil Achour, Loughborough University, specialist in the resilience of healthcare infrastructure
  • Research findings relevant to the East Midlands
  • Learning lessons for flood threatened hospitals
  • Sustainable health and care facilities
