16th August 2011

Planning for Climate Change is an online resource for local communities across the East Midlands (and beyond) to use to enable them to make informed decisions and have meaningful input in to planning consultations, especially in relation to local, regional and national renewable energy, low carbon and adaptation agendas.

It maintains links to up to date planning news and information related to planning from key organisations specialising in planning, such as PlanLoCal, Friends of the Earth, Planning Aid and many more. It also explains the planning process and how you can support or object to planning applications, and includes information on Community Led Planning with links to Action in Communities in Rural England’s toolkit that supports the process. There is also a huge amount of information on various planning solutions and technologies, supported by a range of case studies.

A downloadable leaflet is available and the resource can be accessed at the following website www.planningforclimatechange.org.uk
